The Masters Helping Hands is a service group at Lutheran Church of the Master who cares for the congregation and the community.
As a group we serve at Chris Becker Dining Hall, the first Sunday of every odd month. We provide a dessert for the clients as well as help serve a meal and clean up the facility. Chris Becker Dining Hall is run by St. Vincent's Charity.
MHH recently sponsored a kitchen/office ingathering for supplies needed by the church .
Our service organization also sponsored the Sunrise Easter Breakfast, April 24th at 7:30am.----served at Lutheran Church of the Master in the Fellowship hall, following the 49th Sunrise Service at 6am at Turf Paradise.
MOTHER’S DAY TEA – On May 14th the women of The Master’s Helping Hands hosted a tea/fashion show for women of our parish and the valley. 40 women, 7 young children and 6 men attended the special Spring event. The women and children enjoyed a luncheon of finger sandwiches, scones, chocolate covered strawberries, lemon bars and an assortment of teas. The men served the gathering in thanksgiving for the mothers. The Paradise Valley Mall—Dillards provided the clothes for the fashion part of the event. This was a most enjoyable event. Thank you to all who planned, prepared, served and hosted the Mother’s Day Tea and Fashion Show. Please check out pictures from the Spring event in our Photo Gallery section.
The group has adopted the following mission statement that reflects its purpose and goals:
“To serve God’s church and community with love and compassion by addressing the spiritual and physical needs of its members.”
